Dataset
Flume experiments of the flow around inlet sills. The data set contains field measurements at the water surface (particle image velocimetry), field measurements near the bottom (particle tracking velocimetry) and point measurements at mid-depth (acoustic Doppler velocimetry). The objective was to identify the flow structures around the inlet sill of longitudinal training walls to obtain more insight in the sediment transport over these inlet sills. This study contributes to the development of a parameterisation of the sediment transport over the inlet sill of longitudinal training walls for implementation in depth-averaged river models.
